Why won’t my time box save?

A time box on a Fixed Time Boxes roadmap is checked before it is saved.
There are two messages, and both appear inside the panel above the buttons.

“A time box on a timeline needs both a start and an end date.”

You left Starts or Ends empty. A dated column with only one end is not a
period, and the board could not decide what belongs in it.

Fix: fill in both dates, then click Add (or Save).

“The end date is before the start date.”

The range runs backwards — for example Starts 30 Jun 2027, Ends 01 Apr 2027.

Fix: swap them, or correct whichever one is wrong.

Other reasons a save may not appear to work

Nothing happens on click	The name is empty — a time box needs a name
The panel closes but nothing changed	You clicked Cancel rather than Save
The column saved but sits in the wrong place	New columns are always appended to the end; there is no reordering
You are on an org roadmap and cannot edit at all	Org time boxes are only editable in the All products view — see Why can’t I edit the org roadmap’s time boxes?

Note: Now · Next · Later roadmaps have no date fields at all, so neither
date message can appear there. The only requirement is a name.
