Building your strategy tree#
1.
Start with Objectives -- define what you want to achieve.
2.
Add Opportunities under each objective -- what user/market needs support this goal?
3.
Add Solutions under opportunities -- what product ideas address each need?
4.
Add Experiments to validate risky solutions before committing.
5.
Attach Key Results at every level to track progress with measurable metrics.
Keeping the map clean#
Use search to quickly find items instead of scrolling around a large map.
Reset layout periodically if the map gets messy from dragging.
Delete items you no longer need -- children auto-reparent, so nothing is lost.
Use Link existing to consolidate duplicates instead of creating new items.
Working with the map daily#
Use the scoped view (Strategy Map tab on a detail page) to focus on one branch at a time.
Export to PDF before stakeholder reviews for a snapshot of your current strategy.
The map is a living document -- add, reorganize, and delete as your strategy evolves.
