How do I add a time box (column) to my roadmap?

Click + Time box in the board header. The new column is added at the end of
the board.

On a Now · Next · Later roadmap

The panel asks for a name only, and says so explicitly:

Now · Next · Later roadmaps don’t use dates.

Type a name — Someday, Under consideration, Q1 candidates — and click
Add.

On a Fixed Time Boxes roadmap

The panel asks for a Name, Starts and Ends. All three are required.

Field	Example

Ends	`30 Jun 2027`

Two things are checked before the box is created:

Leave a date empty and you get “A time box on a timeline needs both a start
and an end date.”

Put the end before the start and you get “The end date is before the start
date.”

Where the new column goes

New columns are appended to the right. There is no drag-to-reorder for columns,
so create them in the order you want them read. If you need a box in the middle
of an existing sequence, the practical route is to rename the existing boxes so
the sequence reads correctly.

Tip: the number of columns is up to you, but a board people can read in one
screen is worth more than a complete one. Three to five columns is typical.
