How do I connect my User Persona Canvas with the Business Model Canvas?

Shorter Loop's connected canvas feature allows you to seamlessly integrate insights from your User Persona Canvas directly into your Business Model Canvas, creating a unified strategic framework.
Step-by-Step Connection Process:
Step 1: Access Your User Persona Canvas
Navigate to your completed User Persona (like PE-1 Sales Agent shown above) that contains detailed customer insights including Bio, Jobs to be Done, Pains, Value Propositions, Needs, and Gains.

Step 2: Connect to Business Model
Look for the "More Options" menu (three dots) in your User Persona Canvas
Click on "Connect with Business Model" icon

Step 3: Data Mapping and Transfer
Once connected, persona data automatically flows into relevant Business Model sections according to the mapping table below.

Multiple personas can be connected with the business model. The persona name is displayed in the Customer segment
Automatic Data Synchronization:
when personas are connected, changes in your User Persona Canvas do not automatically update the corresponding Business Model sections. You’ll need to manually reflect those changes to maintain strategic consistency across your planning documents by clicking on Refresh (Sync personas) button.

Step 4: Refresh and Sync Data
Use the "Refresh (Sync personas)" option in your Business Model Canvas to pull the latest updates from connected personas:
Click the three dots menu in the top-right corner of your Business Model Canvas
Select "Refresh (Sync personas)" from the dropdown
All connected persona data will update automatically in the relevant sections.
Disconnection Process:
You can disconnect personas anytime using the same approach:
Go to the User Persona Canvas
Access "More Options" menu
Click "Disconnect from Business Model", the connection is removed, but existing data remains in your Business Model Canvas
Clicking on Push changes to business model pushes the latest updates to business model canvas.
