How do I create and manage dashboards in Shorter Loop?

You can have as many dashboards as you like per product — a product-wide view, one per team, and private ones for yourself.

What is the dashboard switcher?

Once you have at least one dashboard, a dropdown appears in the dashboard header showing the current dashboard's name.

Element	What it does

Group labels	Dashboards are grouped by scope
✓ check	Marks the dashboard you're currently viewing
Copy icon	Clones that dashboard
Trash icon	Deletes that dashboard

How do I create a dashboard?

+ Create dashboard opens a two-column dialog: the form on the left, a gallery of starting points on the right.

What goes in the form?

Field	Rules
Name (required)	3–100 characters. The Create button stays disabled until this is valid
Description (optional)	Up to 500 characters
Scope	Product — visible to everyone · Team — visible to one team · Personal — only you
Team	Appears only when Scope is Team; pick which team

Which starting point should I choose?

Option	What you get
Blank dashboard	Empty. Add your own KPIs and widgets
Clone existing	A copy of another dashboard — a picker appears in the left column
Any KPI set card	The five KPIs of that set, pre-created as tiles. Your own business model's sets are listed first and tagged your model; the other models' sets follow
Role-based view	An auto-seeded dashboard for a role — see 10 · Role-based dashboards

Each KPI set card previews a sparkline, lists its five KPIs with units, and shows a 5 KPIs count.

What do the scopes mean?

Scope	Who can see it	Use it for
Product	Everyone with access to the product	The canonical view of product health
Team	Members of the selected team	A squad's own sprint/delivery view
Personal	Only you	Scratch views, experiments, personal focus

Scope is chosen at creation time and is also settable when cloning.

How do I clone a dashboard?

Use the copy icon in the switcher, or pick Clone existing in the Create dialog. Cloning copies the dashboard's KPIs, widgets, and layout. You can give the copy a new name and a different scope — for example, clone the Product dashboard into a Personal one so you can rearrange it without affecting anyone.

How do I switch dashboards?

Pick any dashboard from the switcher. The choice is stored on the server, so it persists across refreshes and devices — you'll come back to the same dashboard you left.

How do I delete a dashboard?

The trash icon in the switcher deletes a dashboard. If you delete the one you're viewing, the dashboard reverts to another available dashboard, or back to the Suggested KPI dashboards chooser if none is left.

Note: deleting a dashboard is permanent. Clone it first if you're unsure.
