When you delete something by mistake, it isn’t gone forever right away. Deleted items move to a special Recycle Bin area where you can review and either restore them or permanently purge them.Delete Data#
When you no longer need an item, you can send it to the Recycle Bin:1.
Locate the item (e.g., a board, story map, or card).
2.
Click the three-dot menu ⋮ or Delete icon next to it.
3.
Confirm deletion. The item moves to the Recycle Bin.
What goes into Recycle Bin?#
When you delete an item, it moves to Trash. The following item types are included:How to restore something from Recycle Bin#
1. Open Settings
In the left sidebar, click Settings.2. Go to Recycle Bin
In the Settings page, click the Recycle Bin tab.3. Browse Recycle Bin
You’ll see a table listing all deleted items, with columns for Name, Key, Artifact Type, Deletion Date, and Deleted By.Find the item and click the three-dot menu at the end of its row.
Choose Restore.

4. Restore multiple items at onceUse the checkboxes to select one or more items.
Click Restore in the top action bar.
All selected items will be returned to their original locations.
Permanently Purge Data#
To free up space or comply with data policies, you can permanently delete items:1.
In the Recycle Bin, select one or more items.
2.
Click Purge in the action bar.
3.
Confirm permanent deletion.
or Permanently delete an item#
Once an item is deleted from the Trash, it can't be restored.To permanently delete an item, from the Trash:Scroll or search for the deleted item.
Click the ellipsis ...(vertical in table row) to the right of the item.
Warning: Purged items cannot be recovered.
Who can delete, restore, or purge items?#
Only users with the necessary permissions can restore items:If you don’t see a Restore option, reach out to your administrator for help.How long are items kept in Recycle Bin?#
Deleted items remain in the Recycle Bin for 30 days by default. After this period, they are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.Best Practices#
Restore parents (e.g., boards) before child items (e.g., cards).
Use filters and search in the Recycle Bin to find items quickly.
Review items before purging to avoid accidental loss.
