those boxes. It is not a bar drawn from the item’s dates — on a Now · Next ·
Later board there are no dates at all, and an epic that spans Now and Next is
saying “this runs across both horizons”.

spanning card.
Why would I span something?#

Spanning is saved, not cosmetic#
reflect it, and it survives a reload. If the save fails you will see
“Could not save the new span.” — the card returns to its previous width, so
you never end up with a width that only exists on your screen.
