Is there a way to bucketize items by status, like in progress, testing, etc.?

Yes, Shorter Loop allows you to bucketize work items using status categories. Currently, it uses three reserved statuses and the user need to map these with Jira's custom statuses while setting up the integration with Jira.

Reserved Status Categories#

Current Status Structure#

Shorter Loop uses a simplified three-status model for work item organization:
To-do: Items ready to start or not yet begun
In-progress: Items currently being worked on
Done: Completed items

When syncing with Jira, custom statuses are automatically mapped to Shorter Loop's reserved categories:
