Overview#
The Shorter Loop and Brevo integration allows you to seamlessly import your customer data from Brevo into Shorter Loop's Feedback Manager. This integration focuses on bringing in your Companies and Contacts, enabling you to connect feedback and ideas directly to the customers who matter most.This is a one-way integration from Brevo to Shorter Loop. It imports customer data (Companies and Contacts), conversations as issues.
What You Can Do#
Import Companies: Automatically bring Brevo Companies into Shorter Loop as Accounts.
Import Contacts: Sync Brevo Contacts as Members in Shorter Loop.
Connect Feedback: Once imported, you can link feedback items to specific Brevo contacts and companies within Shorter Loop.
Getting Started#
Prerequisites#
To set up this integration, you will need:✅ Access to your Brevo account.
How to generate a Brevo API Key:1.
Log in to your Brevo account.

Click on your profile name in the top-right corner and select SMTP & API.
3.
Click on the API Keys tab.
4.
Click Generate a new API key.
5.
Name your key (e.g., "Shorter Loop Integration") and click Generate.
6.
Copy the key immediately (you won't be able to see it again).
Setting Up the Integration#
Step 1: Connect to Brevo#

In Shorter Loop, navigate to Product Settings → Integrations.
Step 2: Automatic Import#
Once connected, Shorter Loop will automatically start importing your data.Companies are imported first to ensure contacts can be correctly linked.
Contacts are imported next and associated with their respective companies.
How Synchronization Works#
🏢 Company Sync (Accounts)#
Brevo Companies are imported as Accounts in Shorter Loop.Company Name → Account Name
This allows you to group contacts and feedback by organization.
Brevo Contacts are imported as Members in Shorter Loop.First Name / Last Name → Name
Sync Limitations & Behavior#
Due to limitations in Brevo’s platform, external webhook access is not currently exposed.
This means the integration cannot push or pull updates automatically in real time.
To import newly added contacts or companies after the initial import, you must disconnect and reconnect the integration manually.
Managing the Integration#
Disconnecting#
1.
Go to Product Settings → Integrations → Brevo.
Disconnecting stops future data syncs. Any companies or contacts already imported into Shorter Loop will remain.
Troubleshooting#
"Invalid API Key"#
Ensure you copied the entire key string without extra spaces.
Verify that the key is active in your Brevo SMTP & API settings.
Check Limits: If you have a large number of contacts, check if you've reached the user limit of your Shorter Loop plan.
