Mastering Filters and Search

The Ideas & Issues dashboard provides powerful filtering and search capabilities to help you find exactly the feedback you need. From simple category filters to complex multi-criteria searches, the filtering system lets you slice and dice your feedback data for targeted analysis and action.

Filter Panel Overview#

Opening the Filter Panel#

Location: Top right of the feedback feed
Access Methods:

Category Filters#

What Are Categories?#

Categories organize feedback by topic, feature area, or type of request. Examples:

Using Category Filters#

Multi-Select:
Click category names to select/deselect
Select multiple categories simultaneously
Items matching ANY selected category are shown
Formula:
SHOW items WHERE category_id IN (selected_category_ids)
Example:
Selected: "Performance", "Bug Reports"
Result: All items in either category

Category Filter Strategies#

Broad Review:
Select: All categories

Filter applies to:
Feedback item creation date (created_at)
Filters items created within selected range
Formula:
