Filtering by Type and Status

Overview

The filter dropdown in the toolbar lets you control which nodes are visible on the canvas. You can filter by node type, by status, or both at the same time. Filter state is persisted in localStorage per initiative.

How to open filters

Click the Filter button in the top-right toolbar. A dropdown opens showing type chips and status pills.

Filtering by type

Type chips show all node types present on the canvas with a count next to each. Clicking a chip toggles that type on or off.

Action	Result
Click an active type chip	Hides all nodes of that type
Click an inactive type chip	Shows all nodes of that type

When a type is hidden, its nodes are removed from the canvas entirely — including their connecting lines.

Filtering by status

Status pills dim non-matching nodes rather than hiding them. Nodes that do not match the selected status appear faded on the canvas.

Status pill	Effect
Healthy	Dims all non-Healthy nodes
At Risk	Dims all non-At Risk nodes
Blocked	Dims all non-Blocked nodes
Unvalidated	Dims all non-Unvalidated nodes

Multiple status pills can be active at the same time. Nodes matching any selected status remain fully visible.

Badge count

When filters are active, a badge on the Filter button shows the total number of active filter selections (e.g., Filter 3).

Clearing filters

Click Clear all inside the filter dropdown to reset all type and status filters at once.

Filtered empty state

When active filters hide all nodes on the canvas, the canvas shows:

No nodes match your filters.
[Clear filters]

Clicking Clear filters resets all filters and restores the full map.

State persistence

Filter state is stored in localStorage per initiative. Your filters are preserved when you navigate away and return.
