Linking Existing Items (Reparenting)

What is linking?

Instead of creating a new item, you can pick an existing item from your initiative and move it under a different parent. This changes the item's position in the hierarchy.

How to link

Click the three-dot menu on a node and select Add child.

Pick a child type (e.g., "Solution").

The autocomplete dropdown shows all existing items of that type. Items already connected to this parent are excluded.

Type to filter by name or external key.

Click an item from the list.

A confirmation dialog appears:

Move "Smart Checkout Flow" (SOL-32) under "Revenue Growth"?
This will change its parent. All child items will move with it.

Click Link to confirm, or Cancel to abort.

What happens when you link

The item moves from its current parent to the new parent.

All child items move with it -- the entire subtree is reparented.

The linked item appears as the rightmost child of the new parent.

The canvas automatically pans to the linked item.
