Personas are fictional, generalized representations of your target users, created based on research and data. They help teams understand user needs, behaviors, and goals, guiding more effective and user-centered product development.


Persona Canvas

Persona Canvas in Shorter Loop has the following fields

Field Name

Purpose

Photo

A representative image of the target users.

Biography

A representative biography of a target user. This is usually a composite word portrait, compiled after interviewing and observing multiple users.

Quote

An actual quote from a target user that succinctly captures the main goal that the targe users want to achieve and / or a major problem faced by them.

Demographics

Demographic information such as Income, Location, Education, Job Title, etc. This will help you target and differentiate between various user segments.

Goals

Goals are the functional, social, and emotional tasks customers are trying to perform and needs they wish to satisfy. For example, "Spend more time with the family", "Finish projects on time", "Be perceived as an eco-conscious person"

Gains

Gains are benefits which the customer expects and needs, things that would delight customers and the things which may increase the likelihood of adopting a value proposition. For example, "Bargain hunting", "Bouncing ideas off of teammates", "Saving money on maintenance"

Pains

Pains are the negative experiences, emotions, and risks that the customer experiences in the process of getting the job done. For example, "Checkout lines are too long", "A lot of time is wasted in coordination", "Charging stations are hard to find"
